Water is at its best when not ordered and controlled by designers, so we played with crumpling heavy rubber sheet to see how the water would cling and fall in interesting ways. We wanted to do work which would draw people from a distance and reward closer inspection. Thousands of laser cut stainless steel pieces are stacked, exposing the lasered edges. The result feels really more like a metal rock than a fabrication – but it has a real softness to it also.
