This space is seen twice on your journey through the hospital. There is an end view, down a long corridor, and there is another view as you move into the atrium. We wanted these views to reveal different things. A ring made from six tetrahedra (the ‘endless ring’) can be rolled, surprisingly, beautifully, and ad infinitum. Different faces of the tetrahedra are seen as the cycle progresses. The hanging ‘rings’ create a kaleidoscope view seen end on, but seen later from the atrium they become seven frames of an animation, describing the movement.
