I was honoured to be asked to propose a work to remember John Curtin, Australia’s wartime Prime Minister. He was a socialist, a deep thinker, but a man able to change his point-of-view. ‘Other Views’, a set of sixteen brass windows, is a place to think and maybe to re-consider your own point-of-view. Some of the windows contain Curtin’s words. The words appear twice, in the windows and then in the panels off-cuts, which are made into seats. One seat is located with the work, while others will travel further afield to Curtin campuses abroad.
